IMO E

Electronics, transportation and communications are examples of industries that will be benefited, so we need such as.

I would say E by instinct, but I am not sure why D is wrong... LIKE instead of SUCH AS would be wrong? Or the problem is also the use of AS WELL?

military spending may also generates growth in industries doesn't make sense. So generate is fine.

Even in the non underlined part you have military spending can benefit. Why do you use benefit and not benefits. Because military spending can benefits sounds awkward. Plus you are giving example of the types of industries so you need such as (unless you can use 'as' also in place of 'for example').

I believe answer should be E.

Whats the OA?

E seems to be the answer but what about generate - a plural verb.
