Hey there fellas,

Now to give you the background I am an less than average student. I have never been good with maths because of my repulsive attitude towards it.

Now Lets say if you were me,and you wanted to get a score of 720, and needed to more than brush up your skills in maths, Improve the tiny advantage that you have in Verbals and also learn to express yourself more eloquently through writing then how would you go about it?

I want to give my test in feb 2009. I would appreciate detailed strategies such as materials to use, how to use it,any tips etc. and the time I need to allocate each week.

Hoping for a great reply. :)

Thanks,

you12

Just get all the math materials possible and just solve them everyday until the day before your test - period.

I have always been pretty decent in math but had forgotten most of the stuff I learned that I needed for the GMAT. I started off by going through OG11 starting at the beginning doing problems and reading the answer explanations but still really didnt feel like I was getting enough from the explanations. I was trying to find something to teach me GMAT math skills and ended up buying GMAT hacks math bible. I REALLY like it personally. It seems to put everything in the way that makes the most sense to me. If I had to do it over again I would start with that and then do tons of OG problems. If you make sure you fully understand everything he talks about in GMAT math bible and then do lots of practice problems from OG...I think you will improve your math score a ton. But that is just my opinion.

As for verbal I have heard that GMAT hacks verbal bible isnt as good so I probably wont try that. Manhattan sentence correction is pretty widely known as being great so I will be getting that for sure and then OG practice problems for verbal.
