Hi All,
I wrote GMAT on 8 November and got 680 (Q49,V36) )
Got my official score card today and i got a 6 in AWA :D
Just want to say thanks to this forum as it helped a lot in the preparation.
Since i am working full time, i was not able to put much time into my preparation.
Just used to refer this forum regularly and OF 10.

My Experience @ GMAT
The test center staff was very friendly. I Reached early so i decided to start early.
AWA:-
AWA was just like GMAT Prep. Just practiced to write essays in 30 minutes a few times before the test.

Quantitative:-
This section was my favorite but i must admit that the questions were a bit more difficult or required lengthy calculations than in GMAT Prep. Got confused in 2 questions, so did a random guess for that.

Verbal:-
CR and RC were just like GMAT Prep but SC was tougher. Struggled a lot in that section.

My Prep Scores:-
GMAT Prep1 720
GMAT Prep2 740

Kaplan
Test 1 690
test 2 700
test3 670
test4 560(Took few days before test and really got dissaapointed ) :(

This forum is a great place to prepare...
Thanks Everyone

I am still having hardtime to understand this gap between the REAL test and GMAT prep. I understand that people get stressed, and bla bla but still the range is HUGE.

What should we get in GMAT prep tests to score 700+ ?

770-780 ? Go figure.

And I do not believe in that 30 point Standard Deviation BS...there needs to be another explanation. An explanation that actually makes SENSE!

Because it is either we are doing something wrong or GMAC is changing its style, which I don't want to believe.

SO WTF ?

What's going on with all of these people who score 700 at their practice tests and getting 550-600 on the test day ?

I am pissed off a little bit

I can understand your frustration Logitech.
I succeed in the 4th attempt; however my GPREP scores ....before my 1st attempt were (in order): 720-690-740-710-750.....the later ones were repeats. I scored 550 in my 1st attempt.....I still remember the day and the painful months that followed; however that was not the end....I had to endure 2 more blows.....
My odds to success increase incredibly with each attempt.
