GPA Info. in GMAT

Hope you are doing fine..

I just realized that while applying for my GMAT, I had carelessly entered the GPA as 2.9 using the GMAT conversion table and now that is printed on my GMAT score. I feel quite stupid..

My school/univ. does not follow a GPA system. Although my performance in undergraduate is mediocre (second division from Mumbai Univ.), the GPA according to me should come out to be around 3.2. But at the same time, I cannot write this in the GPA option avaliable in the application. All I am going to do is submit my transcripts and request the univ. to evaluate my performance.

But my fear is the GPA written on my GMAT scorecard - I hope that it does not become a distracter and the school does not take it literally?
Do I need to handle this situation or just leave it as it is?

Dear Mannu,

You cannot change it now, so I think you will have to let it go. If you feel inclined, you could note this discrepancy in the additional information section of the schools' applications. Most schools will not be overly concerned as 2.9 and 3.2 are not that far off from each other. Had you put 4.0 on the GMAT test and the reality was 2.5, then you might have a problem; but in this case, I think you are fine.
