Beautiful question...How does E sound to you ?

Rest of the options are either passive or using wrong modifiers. But I still have doubts about the usage of THEIR even in answer choice E.

IMO E. Only E correctly qualifies the noun scientiests.

I also feel that 'their' is ambiguous.

A and C

second level
B and D wrong modifiers !! (expected scientist)

E is the answer
