1) powerprep has a different interface than the gprep, gprep looks like the real test
2) poweprep has more overlap with the og than gprep
3) powerprep has explanation for the answers, gprep has none

One difference is the algorithm used for scoring. I believe the PowerPrep software uses a different algorithm from the one actually used to score the GMAT whereas GMATPrep uses the exact same algorithm. This means that the GMATPrep score is a more accurate predictor. Also, over the years the exam has gotten harder and the change in difficulty is reflected in the pieces of software.
