The after GMAT scandal

Hey All,
I'm asking myself whether the way the test is administered or the way the answers are chosen has changed as a consequence of this scandal...
In fact a friend of mine who has taken the test recently asserts his old strategies did'nt work!
Please help!
Taking the test in less than 10 days!

I just took the GMAT yesterday (for the 6th time) and can attest that all the same tricks and strategies I've used before still work great. Don't think too much into it - just study hard, be confident, and go in and nail it!

Well, there's a few too many to list out, considering that we spend a whole 42-hour course on them!

Things such as plugging in numbers, drawing pictures, focusing on the handful of common grammatical errors and common logical flaws, etc. still work fine. Stay focused on the basics, and don't overthink things.

Hey Jim,
I know 730 is achievable for me.
Nonetheless, I need a strategy to go.
My last real thing showed a 550 Q: 41 V: 25.
It must be either the way I study or the materials I use.
But defintely, something has to ba changed.

Jim is a Veritas instructor. They have all scored at or above 750. Thats the employment rule at Veritas

As LSB says, I am a GMAT instructor who took the test for the 6th time, so my experience will vary greatly from most test takers'.

I can tell you that the way I studed for the GMAT the first time was to do every problem in all three OGs. I did every problem and checked the answer, but not the explanation. If I got the problem wrong, or got it right and wasn't quite sure why, I'd sit there until I figured out how to do the problem. Through this analysis, I really internalized how to solve GMAT problems, and to this day, I still have a good portion of the OG memorized!
