Profile Eval Please

Stacy:

Can you tell me what my chances are based on:
gmat: 600 (44/28) and 600 (42/31) awa: 6
overall gpa: 3.3, major gpa: 3.5 from uc riverside
3+ years of working experience...wamu, citibank, and investment consulting firm in california

I am hoping to get into the following schools:
usc
uci
purdue
georgetown
ariz st.
unc
ut-austin
notre dame

Dear wycc,

You did not really provide much information, so my comments will be based on how competitive your GMAT/GPA are for these schools. Since admissions is more than those two components, your application could be more or less competitive based on how well you put together your application and what you have done in your career. Generally speaking from a GMAT/GPA perspective, I think all of these schools will be a reach for you. While your GPA is at/maybe a little below these schools' averages, it is not necessarily a weakness on its own. However, your GMAT is low and even out of range for a few of these schools. As such, I would encourage you to shorten this list and add a couple of other schools with GMAT averages in the 580-640 range.
