Help Two Days to go

Hi,
I have been preparing for the exam for last two months.
Over the course of two months I have given several tests. Here's the break up.
MGMAT-1 : 600
Gmat prep1 : 640 (Q42,V35)
MGMAT-2 : 600 (Q43,V30)
MGMAT-3 : 660 (Q46,V34)
MGMAT-4 : 680 (Q47,V36)
KP-free test : 590 (Q43,V32)

I gave Kaplan's free paper test on Saturday and scored 590, even though I made only 6 mistakes in Q and 10 in V.

I am going to give actual test on 6th, and I really want to know what are my chance of scoring 700+?

GMAT Prep 2 is going to give you a better evaluation than anyone on this forum.

I'd ignore the Kaplan result for now. Looks like otherwise you have an upward trend.

Good luck. I'd be happy to comment further if you want to post your results or PM them to me. Also, take AWA with them if you weren't planning to do so. Make it resemble the actual test experience as much as you can.

Hi Riprop,
I gave final gmatprep test in the morning, but did not score well.

I scored 650( Q48,V32).

I made 7 mistakes in Q and 11 in verbal. I ran out of time on both Q (last three) and V ( last three). On verbal the last question was unanswered.
Does that incur a heavy penalty?

I am pretty sure you know the answer to your question as someone who has been studying for GMAT last 2-3 months.

Don't stress out. At the end of the day, it won't help you (much easier said than done). Be excited about the increase in your quant score from Prep 1 to Prep 2. Try to figure out why your verbal score decreased. Unanswered question didn't help obviously (I don't know how much exactly it affects your score though). Also, this score should alleviate your worries you had about the Kaplan exam that you mentioned in your original post.

Review this exam and try to understand the questions you missed and why you missed them. Don't cram and not sleep tomorrow. Be refreshed and trust that things will work out. Also, remember the worst case scenario is that you retake the exam if you don't score as well as you want to score. Best case scenario, you hit/surpass your goal. The best case scenario sounds awesome. The worst case scenario isn't exciting, but isn't the end of the world either.

There is a severe penalty for not finishing any section.. for example, if you don't finish the 5 last questions, your percentile will drop from around 90 to 70!!! that's very harsh...

Don't panic before and during the test.....Just take the test..things will be fine

Thank you all for sharing your advice.

I did a through review of the test and found that most of it were silly mistakes.
I know that I make such mistakes, and I am consciously working on rectifying it, but not able to get it error free.
Anyway one more day to go, will report the result may in tomorrow evening.
I am going to give a test tomorrow 1.00pm at San Jose test center.

Not completing one question on GMAt lowers your percentage (such as 48 on Q or 38 on V) by about 3 percentage points.

So lets say your percentage for verbal is 40 but failed to answer one question, it lowers to 37.

Looks like your weakness is in verbal compared to quant.

Master SC. If you can master SC, it will dramatically improve your verbal.

Just came out from the test.
Unfortunately could score well. Got 660 (Q43,V38).
Got nervous on the first question in Q. Thereafter I felt like it was a downhill for me.
Q was surely tougher than most of the test I have given. I think I couldn't manage my timing properly. At the end I had to random guess 3 question in Q.
May be I will give it one more try, after more preparations. I was under a impression that I could score above 47 in Q but that proved to be dismal.

Guys please help me formulate the plan on how I can get past 700 mark.
