What is the average height of the n people in the group?

1) height of n/3 tallest people in the group is 6ft2.5inches and average height of the rest is 5ft10inches

2)The sum of n is 178ft9inches


Here is my reasoning:
2) does not work alone

1) combined average: ((n/3)(6ft2.5) + (3)(5ft10))/n ??? does this work ?

A small correction, though it will not impact your answer.
(3)(5ft10)
should be
(2n/3)(5ft10)

finally both n's will cancel.
