Weird Problem

by bleacherseat » Thu Oct 30, 2008 4:08 pm
Hi All,
I am taking my GMAT on 1 Nov . Just one more day.
I have been preparing for three months but it has been exteremly hard to find time to study. Would I like to be better prepared for the test ? Absolutely.

But I also want to apply to schools for Fall 2009 term.

Here are my scores :

MGMAT1 - 640

MGMAT2- 670

MGMAT3- 670

GMAT PREP 1 - 740 (I had seen close to 6 questions earlier - repeat of OG..so the socre might be skewed somewhat)

GMAT PREP 2 - 740 (A couple of repeats) - better indicator of my performace

GMAT PREP 1 (2) - 760 (Several repeats ....I can't trust this score). I finished verbal 15 mins earlier.

I was under the impression that questions don't repeat in GMAT Prep. whatever happened to that ?

As you can see I have been scoring where I want to be.

My problem right now I think is Math. I am engineer and I am pretty good with concepts. But number properties questions kill me. I also ignored Math while preparing as I got only 6-8 hrs per week to study.

My question now is - I have one day left. How should I spend it ?

should I practice for Math ?

My original plan was to take GMAT Prep 2 . But with so many repeats in GMATPrep 1 I just think its waste of time.

anything I can do ..to get better in math. I have been getting close to 10-11 questions wrong in GMAT Prep tests. Any thing I can do to close the gap there ?
any input is appreciated.

I don't think you want to stress yourself too much during the final day. It should be relatively relaxing. I would go through number property problems that you missed and think about why you missed them. If you have flash cards, read through them. But again, don't drive yourself crazy. Someone else may have a differing opinion though.

10-11 questions wrong is definitely an area of concern..

If you want to improve your speed and accuracy quickly, try the link below:

excellent stuff (especially if number theory, probability and geometry is killing you)... used 4GMAT's materials to get over 700. Lots of short-cuts.. I finished quant with 15 min. to spare...

For some good materials in verbal, drop me a line at: [email protected]
