Need some guidance please

Dear all !

I know this site is full of information, and lot of it, and it is great to see people sharing ideas and taking time to help. I hope I will be of use to other students in the near future!

I have just realised that I have to tak the test in January and therefore I have two months to prep.

I am really trying to make sense of it all. I have been away from studies for about 10 years and therefore Maths is my weakness. I had a go at the initial math questions in the OG book and i only havd one answer right! terrible! As you can imagine, I have a real panic now!!

I have a series of questions and I would appreciate some help with the following

1. is two months a reasonable time to prep on my own?
2. what sort of time should i be spending on prep a week ( ideally )
3. i only have the OG book, is that enough to start with?
4. any other advise?

I am hoping to get started with the preparation this week and I wish you all great scores for your test!

Two months is a good amount of time. I usually advise students to spend about 20 hours a week on GMAT study, broken down as evenly as possible per day. For example, a good schedule might be:

Monday-Friday, 3 hours per day, preferably in two sessions
Saturday, 5 hours, including 3.5 hours on practice test and 1.5 hours reviewing mistakes
Sunday, day off

The OG is a great resource, but you'll quickly realize that some of its explanations leave something to be desired. You'll want to combine the OG with some sort of prep guide from one of the reputable companies to teach you tricks and strategies that the OG won't give away.
