Awards / Honors

by CalgonTabs » Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:04 am
Having progressed through the British academic system, I've always done reasonably well - BA(hons) 1:1, MSc - Merit, and this is all on my transcript. But we don't really do the whole 'awards / honors' thing like the US schools do - as such there is a gaping hole in my application for this section.

Am I right in thinking this is principally for academic awards? (not that I have particulary many professional awards either), can anyone guide me as to the sort of things that would be appropriate for this section?

Thanks!

Dear CalgonTabs,

I would not worry if you have nothing to put here; it is nice if you received an academic award or were recognized for contributing to the campus community, but not having those things is not a reason to be rejected. Many folks don't have anything to put here but that doesn't mean they were not involved as a student or after.

Good luck,
Lisa
