When is it an ellipse, when is it not? When is it parallel, when is it not? I am totally flummoxed...

Dont know anything about the mentioned ellipse but I'd say that this is a sentence that requires the use of the subjunctive form (compared to the other topic). --> A.

yes 'A' it is - hail to the subjunctive form.

I didn't know till I read it on the other topic that a verb immediately followed by 'that' requires the subjunctive form.

had the sames exact question,, isn't the officer doing the interview? so shouldn't it be singular?

Because it's subjunctive mood, and therefore the second verb, which in this case is the verb interview, must be first person-singular-present form (some say infinitive form without the "to").

With a subjunctive " Infinitives are used.. But without a TO "
eg : to action, to resolve etc...will change to ..... action , resolve
