1. C...Reason..Nt sure - if u use IF Codition in past tense, then Would+Base verb
2. E...I think maintaince is ongoing process SO In A .. redundant.b &C -akward and doesnt make sense. D - changes the meaning.So. E.

1 = C for sure. E is wrong because it changes the intended meaning, it wrongly implies that the ownership of the appliances is miraculous, not the appliances themselves.

2 = C

For the first I will go with E.

For the second 'help maintain' is idiomatic, so I'd go with C.

For 1st E

For 2nd C (Subjunctive Form), so maintain should be appropriate.

How can "help maintain" be correct ....---2 verbs ?
Should have been help + infinitive (to maintain)
