We have to determine whether the amount of John's heating bill for February is greater than that for January.

Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) The ratio of the amount of John's heating bill for February to that for January was 26/25.

Say John's heating bill for February = 26x, thus, his heating bill for January = 25x, whether x is a positive integer

Since 26x > 25x, the answer is yes. Sufficient.

(2) The sum of the amounts of John's heating bills for January and February was $183.60.

Can't determine whether the amount of John's heating bill for February is greater than that for January. Insufficient.
