I started casually studying for the gmat Verbal two months ago. I studied from Kaplan verbal book and PR verbal book. At that time my took a practice test and got 540 Q30 V35.
Then I started seriously studying , 5 times a day (2 hours each work days, 4 hours on Sat and Sun) I took another practice test (1 month after serious study) and got a 570 Q37 V31, to my horror , my Verbal actually dropped. I was devastated.
My issue: I want to take it in 2 months and my goal is 650. I feel good about the math, and feel that I can get a couple more points perhaps.
I lost confident in my verbal though. I've been using the MGMAT verbal books and I feel that its not helping me (besides the SC book). Any advice on improving the RC and CR part? What books are good and what types of strategy works to improve those sections.
Finally, what's my chances of hitting a 650 in two months? Is it a reach? Help!
