KAPLAN books versus on-line workshops

I have recently viewed Critical reasoning workshop on kaptest.com I should notice it is very brief and covers only Assumptions part of Critical reasoning. I have GMAT Premier 2012-2013 book, which is old one, I admit, but based on what I read in Kaplan tread here there have not been significant changes since that time apart from Integrated reasoning (and IR was also included in that volume). Anyway, I noticed that the book covers Critical reasoning not only for Assumption but also for interference questions, strengthen and weaken questions, explain and flaw questions.
Why online test does not even mention these types of questions? Is it change in Kaplan strategy since 2012-2013, change in GMAT or simply because online test prep is a kind of free/supplemental product that is lacking essential features that may be found only in the text books? Anxiously awaiting your comments

The workshops included cover the foundational concepts on specific areas. An understanding of assumptions is important for question types like strengthen, weaken, and flaw, and so that is why the workshop that was chosen for your online materials covers assumptions. Building your skills at identifying assumptions will help you in these other question types as well. These workshops are added to enhance what is in the book and not to be an exhaustive resource on their own. If you would like to have more of these resources available to you, then our full courses, including the Self-Paced video-based course, do include our full set of workshops.

I know that this is a silly question but I would really like to know whether there are any learning to drive books specifically designed for people who will be driving an automatic car? Or if not which ones would be best for this?
