Bombed the GMAT...Please Help

by doyer08 » Mon Oct 06, 2008 8:14 am
Hi All,
Took the GMAT this past Saturday and scored a 530 :( (last practice CAT was a 570).

I took the Manhattan GMAT class last March and beeen using the OG guides and the MGMAT resources to study. I would like to score in 650 range.

Is a score in this range even possible? I feel very defeated at this point. I plan on taking a week off from studying to regroup and relax before I dive back into things.

I was hoping someone can suggest a study plan or plan of attack this time around to help me attain the score I am aiming for. I was thinking 2 months before the re-take as well (too long? Not long enough?)

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Take time to think about why you didn't perform as well as you wanted to.

Perhaps you just had a bad day. Perhaps didn't manage time well enough. Perhaps you need to make sure you're understanding the central concepts behind all practice problems you're getting wrong. This is really key.

I'd retake your exam in 1.5 months.
