Hi ,

I just gave my GMAT today, the score is just 650.

Quant 47
verbal 33

I have been an exceptional student in my engineering with a topper and also earned an honours degree.I have been a topper throughout school life as well.

I am working for an international firm in India ,but I have visited the United States twice in my current job tenure of two years,so I have international exposure as well.

I participate in various NGO programmes and am actively involved in social service.

I am very depressed with my GMAT score.I want to apply for management in the area of finance, but with a score like this I am not sure which b schools I can apply for.

Please help me.Thanks in advance for your help

Dear swati2kagarwal,

I think you should retake the GMAT and try to increase your score. If you don't increase your score, that is fine as a 650 is a decent score. However, if you do, then it will increase your options for business school.

As a general rule, you want to be at or above the GMAT average for a school in order to be a competitive applicant.

Good luck,
Lisa
