(1) If x is divided by 3, the remainder is 2.

x can be 8 or 11; thus, x can be even or odd. Insufficient.

(2) If x is divided by 5, the remainder is 2.

x can be 7 or 12; thus, x can be even or odd. Insufficient.

(1) and (2) together

x can be 17 or 32; thus, x can be even or odd. Insufficient.
