At a certain company, each employee has either an office or a cubicle. If each office or cubicle is occupied by exactly one employee, what percent of the employees have offices?

(1) The employees outnumber the cubicles 3 to 2.

(2) There are 50 offices.

Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) The employees outnumber the cubicles 3 to 2.

Say there are 3x employees; thus, there are 2x cubicles and 3x – 2x = x offices

Percent of the employees that have offices = x/3x*100% = 33.33%. Sufficient.

(2) There are 50 offices.

We have information neither about the no. of employees nor about cubicles. Insufficient.

The correct answer: A
