Let's take each statement one by one.swerve wrote:If a and b are integers, what is the value of a+b?

Case 1: Say a = b = 1, then a + b = 2.
Case 2: Say a = b = -1, then a + b = -2.
No unique answer. Insufficient.
2) \(\frac{a}{b}=1\);
Case 1: Say a = b = 1, then a + b = 2.
Case 2: Say a = b = -1, then a + b = -2.
No unique answer. Insufficient.
Even after combining both statements, we cannot get the unique value of a + b. Insufficient.
The correct answer: E
