IMO D

A: resulting incorrectky modifies later generations
B: destroying resulted and later generations lost doesnt reflect the cause and effect structure
C: because of the result is wordy as the use of both simultaneously is redundant

D: removes the above redundancy.
E: library destroyed and the result was generations losing is awkward
