Hi,
I think I'm below average in community/EC activities, I was involved in the following but am not sure
whether writing about some of them would hurt/help. Please advise/comment.
I personally think some of them are basic humanitarian stuff which I never claimed to be involved.
I categorized them as below...
(+) - would help
(-) - would hurt (humanitarian stuff - why am I writing these
)
(*) - not sure
+ Founding member of a small group of 5 whose intial engagement was to help fund medical needs of those
in needy, primarily children. As we grew in size(23-25), we started involving in other activities like
providing infrastructure help (both funding and building) for less-funded schools and occasionally have
sessions on soft skills.
+ Member of volunteer group @ work with special interest in enviroment friendly activities (like escrap events,
earth day, etc.,)
- Active American red cross blood donor (every 112 days as long as I'm eligible i.e., if I don't travel to
malaria prone countries)
- Registered Marrow donor
* I'm yet to participate in "Habitat for Humanity" program (in 4 weeks)
* this sounds funny but in my earler work place I've done tiny things like - pooling people and have some
team based games/competitions/fun and celebrating b'day's of team members for years which infact
became a culture later on.
Thanks
