Geometry- triangles

In the attached figure, XY is a line parallel to side BC of triangle ABC. If BE is parallel to AC and CF is parallel to AB meet XY at E and F respectively. Is area of triangle ABE = area ACF.

Hi 4meonly,
this is all the information that was given. This question is not from Gmat preparation book, i m trying to go through some basic concepts before i get started with those books, there was no more info given in the question and we had to prove that both these areas are equal and how. i hv tried but not been able to see how these areas are equal.
