GMAT Score:450

Is there no hope for me?

I just got back from taking the GMAT and have an unofficial score of 450! Thats so low i feel like jumping off of a bridge. Ive studied every day for the past seven months. Obviously i went about it the wrong way, and need to rework my strategy. Does anyone know definitively which are the best books to buy in order to prepare for each section? I got the princeton review math guide, and the Kaplan premier program. is there anything else i should get that may help?

you might want to consider MGMAT series of 8, which breaks down, math and verbal by sections. MGMAT sentence correction is gold. Also I think OG series are essential to perform well on the gmats.

Hi Gregory!

I feel your pain because I also got a 450 when I took the GMAT 3 weeks ago. So I went out and bought myself 4 books from the Manhattan GMAT series. I got RC, CR, SC, and the Word Translations guides but I am probably going to end up buying the whole series. It seems to be helping a lot!!

I feel your pain and was in your same exact situation and after putting together a detailed plan was somehow able to go from a 460 to 640 and I'm confident with enough work and dedication you could do that or better. See my story for some specific recommendations and all the best.

i believe failure is just a mile stone on the road to success. Keep trying I'm sure things will work out well for you.

You have not mentioned OG in the list of books you have worked with.

Good for verbal prep (needs to be studied like a bible)
Not good enough for Quant.
