Champagne region of France

In the Champagne region of France, wine
growers still harvest grapes as they have done

for centuries, by carefully handpicking their crop
and storing their precious fruit in specially aged
casks.

(A) wine growers still harvest grapes as they
have done
(B) the wine grower still harvests grapes as
he has
(C) wine growers still harvest grapes as was
done
(D) wine growers still harvest grapes as has
been done
(E) wine growers still harvest grapes as they
did

BCD are singular so out.
B/w A & E , i think it should be A. coz have done...means still going on in present and they are still growing grapes. So A.
OA Pls

My pick is A.

'for centuries' suggests an ongoing action, hence present perfect is appropriate.
Between A & D, D is out as 'has' is singular and 'wine growers' is plural.

@wonder

me too. i guess we both made the mistake of taking 'harvest' as the focus here, rather than 'wine growers', leading us to make that mistake.
