Hi,

Can you retype Statement 1? It's not clear.

As far as Statement 2 is concerned, it is sufficient.

|x|>0 implies that x ≠ 0.

The value of x^y @y = 0 such that x ≠ 0 is 1. For example, say x = 4, then 4^0 = 1; say x = -1/2, then (-1/2)^0 = 1. Thus, x^y = 1. The answer is No.
