Hello, I'm to write an essay titles "Given the choice, would you rather live in the mountains or near the beach" and since English is my second language, I'm not quite sure whether everything is written correctly. I've thought of using hemingwayapp but decided to check with your guys first. Thanks

ESSAY:
I was a small town girl by birth with little about other than flat land and forest. To tell you the truth, I have spent most of my life in the area with no real means of leaving. One day I received an email. Enclosed was an opportunity I had previously believed to be impossible. It was an offer of employment with two different placement options either in the mountains of Alberta, or near the beaches in Miami. The position was described as being that of a traveling consultant for a multinational company. I had my choice of venue, but could only select one. So, which one should it be?

The mountains have always intrigued me. The massive razor peaks reaching the sky pay testament to the awesome powers of Mother Nature. They also serve as a physical manifestation of a deep internal philosophy which had always stayed with me over the years. If rocks can reach for the heavens, why can't I? But the beach is not without its charms as well.

The beach would offer me the majesty of the oceans. Vast blue waters stretching almost an eternity over the horizon with sunrises that would make each morning worth remembering. It would also mean that with my new means of income, I could readily afford a sea voyage after a few months of working. I've always wanted to travel by sea so that I may experience the world of the waves as I make my way to a new adventure every time I set sail.

On the one hand, I can choose the sights that would constantly remind me of what I could one day achieve, on the other; I have a more readily available means of world travel with unknown adventures that would always be just one step into the waves away. I supposed this a cheat in this context, but I would have to say the beach. I could use the readily available means of travel to open a business network which could lead to even more lucrative financial opportunities in the future. Once I was successful enough, I would like to have a residence in both areas. A dream has the advantage of being as big as we want it to be therefore, I would one day have both.
