First of all, a massive thank you to everyone who replied to my tens and hundreds of queries.
Must admit, was slightly surprised about my score - I averaged 680 to 690 in my GMATprep and MGMAT practice tests! Hopefully, this gives hope to those in a similar situation!
I just wanted to add a few things from my experience that I hope will help those who are planning to or currently studying.
- I spent 3-4 minutes for the first 10 Qs for both Q and V, hence, ended up guessing the final 4-5 Qs. I think my score might provide evidence that concentrating on the first 10 Qs of each section really helps your final score, despite having to guess the final few.
- I used just a few textbooks. OG, Quant review, Verbal review and MGMAT SC. Skimmed Kaplan Premier. I wouldn't have achieved my score without the MGMAT SC book.
- I've been studying on and off for 6 months to no avail, so decided to take a a few weeks off from work, and spent everyday studying, without exception. I don't how those who study and work simultaneously manage to get good scores!
I'll write a more detailed post on a later date but in the meantime, I am off to the pub to make up for lost time!!!
Thank you once again and good luck all
