hie, i am alwiz confused with DS questions that are involved with
arithmetic , divisibility and inequalities
which appears alot in GMAT

for instance an arithmetic and inequality question

a) if x is an integer, is xlxl <2^x? or (b) is lxl=y-z

for instance a divisibility question

(a) if x is a positive interger, what is the remainder when x is divded by 18.

does anyone out there has tips regarding these DS questions on how to conquer them or any additional info on them :)

thanks for the help in advance :) appreciated

Hi

In these type of questions following things will help you lots.

* Those who have lots of fear of this kind of questions.

First break the all the equations and consider all the cases (Negative , Positive) . By doing this you will get @max 4 possible combinations.

Now take total 5 combination of numbers (++, + - , -+ , -- and keep both no. same) .

Try to evalute every posibilties and you will def. get answer.

Thanks
