Tips and strategies for TOEFL

Hello,

Please pardon me if this is not the right forum. If you can point me to the right forum that would be great.

I have two weeks to TOEFL and I have no clue about TOEFL is.

I have a GMAT score of 700 - Q48; V38; IR 5 and AWA 6). But I have given this a year back. Now balancing between work, MBA apps, newly set up house and a newly set up family.

So I have very limited time so please suggest the smartest way to prepare for the TOEFL for a score of 110+.

The TOEFL test is a test of English for speakers of foreign languages. It's put out by ETS. Generally speaking, schools would like to see students score at least 105.

Just as most people start their study of the GMAT by tacking a practice test, so too most people start their study of TOEFL by taking a practice test. The best practice test you can get is from ETS itself. You can get these tests at https://toeflpractice.ets.org/ but they're not free.

The TOEFL test measures 4 skills-reading, writing, speaking, and listening. There are no grammar questions. Looking at your verbal and AWA score, it's pretty likely that you'll score quite well in reading and writing. I cannot know how you will score in listening or speaking.

The ETS test will give you scores in each section. There are a variety of products that help people get better, though personally I've had the best success with Barron's.
