GMAT PREP question

between A and B
B
D,E out because we need that
C out - "because of"
A out because dwindling supplies...

D and E are wrong for sure, modifier issue.
i dislike A because the -ing words seem to be used too much (i trust my ear a lot)
that made me choose between B and C, and B definitely won because the 'which' used in C made the meaning ambiguous.

And why is dwindling incorrect? Is that the only difference?drgmatIL wrote:between A and B

Are the second parts of both A&B are accepted!!
If you read the whole sentence with D as the answer..the sentence faintly means that the study revealed the creatures.
and after that it makes the sentence very akward grammatically.
