The fight for becoming a developed nation has been going on since ages now. Each country in the world is not leaving any stone unturned for seeing itself registered into the list of developed countries. As per my view on the current topic, I think the developed countries have got every right to preserve their resources to themselves.
The developed countries as we know them today, have also come through their tough times. They have been able to reach the present level only because of their own hard work, determination and courage to face new challenges. They completely deserve to be ahead of others in this respect. Today’s world is the world of the tough. Darwin’s theory fits perfectly as “ It’s the survival of the fittest”. In this world nobody is going to feed you at the cost of its resources. Why should someone, who has conserved its resources, by cutting down its comsumption in the past , give away those for free?
If the developing countries get the feel that they will be served as long as they will be developing, then nobody will make any extra effort for coming over. This is highly unfair that one country should keep on conserving its resources just to feed some other country. The developing nations can anyways, take advice from the developed, on how to conserve resources, follow best pratices etc. After all, the now developed have gone through these phases in their past. The developing ones should take lessons from them on this regard.Once in a while, if they need some immediate help, that is fine but making it a habit will be in the loss of both classes.
The developed nations will be hit badly by cooperating on this front. By distributing all their resources to others, they will loose the mere essence of conservation. Today, whatever they possess, may be in terms of tourism, best brains , best economies etc, everything depends on the resources backed up.Nations economy depends directly indirectly on these resources. If a country like USA consumes its resources for a under developed nations like Zimbabawe eg. Then I don’t think that would be of any help to USA. In that course, the resources will also be lost , keep aside if they will be able to help or not. In my view, the developing nations must take advice from developed nations and must find out ways to set an example for nations to follow.
