Indian IT applicant pool

Here is my profile:

Late 30s with more than ten years IT experience,currently working in a large US corporation ( Have recently published articles in a couple of academic journals -MS in CS from state University in US, GPA 3.84 )
GMAT: 700(92%), V -86% Q 87%

Do I stand a chance at the top 15 schools with my GMAT score, do Indian IT applicants generally need 750+ since it is a competitive pool? Do you think I should take gmat again?

I have put in community service efforts in the US and I have goals that I can state clearly ( enterpreneur ) , but does 700 put me at a disadvantage?

I got attracted by the title. but once I read your post I couldnt resist myself to post a reply.

Dear Deepas,
first of all let me tell you that you do not belong to Indian IT pool.
Yes! and it's a good news.

The term "Indian /IT /male pool" is popularised in MBA admission process due to the fact that this pool is very huge and is very competitive.
But they are usually applying from India, in their mid twenties.

You on the other hand, stand out, you have been in USA since, at least ten years;
plus you graduated, done your MS from US.
So do not have to worry about Indian/ IT pool.
I don t think you fit in that category anymore.

You actually do fall into my definition of the Indian IT pool. Regardless, your GMAT is fine! I would be less worried about improving your GMAT and shift your focus to demonstrating leadership abilities and career progression since you are an older applicant. You may want to consider a part time or accelerated program especially since you have entrepreneurial aspirations!
