Request for Profile Evaluation for Top 5 schools

Hi everyone,

I have a 680 GMAT (44Q/40V) and 3.5 undergrad GPA at a top 20 university (Econ major/Math minor). I have 2 years experience in finance (think IB/Hedge Fund) and 1 year at a financial technology company abroad (I am a US citizen) with very strong leadership experiences.

Extra Curriculars involve a few things but the highlight is leading financial modeling initiatives and business model assistance for one of the first incubators in the country I am in.

I am planning to take the GMAT once more, but with my current score is there any chance of getting into these schools? Lets say I have a killer essay (Just hypothetically)

Hey there,
With a 680 is IS possible, but everything else needs to be REALLY strong. Like you say you have great leadership experience, but what is it? How many have you led? what has your experience been? What other "Aces" do you have up your sleeves? Strong volunteer work? Amazing academics?

Anyhow, my initial thought is given that Round 2 deadlines are approaching AND you have only 2 years experience AND your GMAT is low, the wiser choice for you specifically would be to wait it out, and spend 6 months studying for your GMAT and see if you can't get a 720 or higher.
