Verbal imnprovement - need guidance

Hi,

I gave kaplan and got 620. I did very bad in verbal. i got 21/41 questions correct. My normal accuracy is about 27 questions correct with other tests.

Can anyone tell what should be the accuracy in verbal accuracy apporx. to get a 700+ score?

I just need to know your absolute correct/wrongs when you did your kaplan tests or anyother practice test and scored around 700.
This will just help to boost myself.

I have read the posts on this forum that scores cannot be predicted but roughly i just need to understand what should be the accuracy in test?

I am trying to improve in RC which is get 50%.I am going to buy MGMAT RC book. Does anybody has any feedback about the book whether it will help me improve my accuracy in RC?

It's true: the percentage right/wrong has little bearing on your score. You could be getting every other question wrong towards the end of the test and still be breaking 700. Of course generally, the higher percent you get right, the better your score, but it's not that simple, and there's really no way to make a prediction. Also, you only mentioned verbal - if you get a 51 in math, your verbal score doesn't need to be spectacular to break 700 total.

That said, to score above 700, you should probably be getting virtually every easy and medium level difficulty question right. You can gauge difficulty by the order in which problems arise in the OG - the earlier problems are easier. As for the harder questions, I'd say you should also be getting 50-75% of them right.
