first take: 660 48q 34 v
second: 650 45q 35 v

i have a strongish profile, and I am aggressive about getting into at least one of the top schools. so when i gave it the first time, after scoring 700+ on the official prep exams, i thought i would do well. that didn't happen (by indian standards). so i said ok, lets try again. and it went down by ten points!

one thing i have learnt from this experience - don't let the gmat tell you how good you are. it should be the other way around.

given that, i've decided NOT to give it again. yes, i know that the number of applicants has surged and i know that our indian brothers and sisters are good at nailing exams.i'm just going to go with what i have, because that's all i've got. be positive, and believe in yourself even if you fail - because that tenacity, and not a GMAT score, will get you to where you want.

peace.
