Hi Admissionado

I am currently applying for an MBA in Australia, but one of my US friends suggested that I apply in the USA as well. However I am not so sure which range of schools should I target, and was wondering if you can give me some advice.
My profile

Age: 29
Gender: Male
Race: White
Marital status: Married for 1 Year
Nationality: Dual. Jordanian and Armenian
GMAT: 700 Q:48, V:38

Education:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan, GPA of 76.1 gradated in the top 10% of my class
Passed CFA level 1 which I decided to take because of my investing passion
Certified Project Manager

Professional background:
1 year working in Jordan in one of the top 3 companies of Jordan.(Hygienic manufacturers)
5 Years working in UAE in Oil and Gas construction in the top contractor of the region. During which Ive worked on various multi-million USD projects.



Short term plans: Transition from Engineering to investment research
Long term plans: Own my investment fund

And great to hear from you!
Well first of all, to understand where to apply: US/Australia/Europe/Asia, it will be helpful to understand your goals. In general US/European programs are the strongest and will have the most global impact and prestige. And with a 700 many good schools will be in range, esp. as they don't see many Jordanian applicants.

I would love to get more detail about you: Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars?

As all this will help define your profile.

But I think offhand, for US schools you can apply to 10-30 ranked schools (if your goals are in Oil and Gas, look at Haas, MCCombs, Rice for sure!)
