1. A rectangular room is 7 metres long and 4 metres wide. Carpet tiles are 50 centimetres square. How many tiles will be needed to carpet the whole room (1 metre = 100 centimetres)?

Where are the 5 answer choices?
Also, this question is ambiguous/poorly-worded. It sounds like each tile has an area of 50 square cm, when in fact (based on the correct answer), each tile is square with each side having length 50 cm.

If you're preparing for the GMAT, stick with GMAT-like questions. What's the source of the questions you've been posting?
