(both in Liberal Arts with ZERO finance/economics - from a no-name college)

DO i stand a chance to get into any good b-school ????

Hi,
Absolutely you do - however, there is so much more that goes into deciding whether you need an MBA, from where, why and what do you do after your MBA as well as so many things go into selecting students for a cohort.
I would rather start with the following approach (something I have used with my students for a long time) - where do you want to be in 5 years? 3 years?
What skills/experience/knowledge (technical, functional, soft skill and leadership) do you need to get there? Which of those do you already have? The others should be given to you by your MBA and your first 2 jobs after your MBA. Use this template and see for yourself if you can justify 2 years of investment (> $200,000), lost income and if you are convinced, then I would recommend that you start with a few colleges between 10-20 ranked, a few between 30-50 ranked (for scholarship chances) and focus on getting a stellar application story.

Well first off, define a "good" business school to me. Top 5? Top 10? Top 25? I think you need to give me a little bit more of an idea of what you want to accomplish during and after school. Just the idea of you want to go to business school is not enough. Really think about what you want to do and how a business school program will help you achieve your goals.

In addition to the above advices, it well serve you well to network with people from similar backgrounds who have done their MBAs, preferably at your target schools. This will help you evaluate better, while also preparing you.

Aside from the numbers, consider the learning environment, such as class sizes, method of teaching, and campus life.
