Do any of you know how schools interpret GRE scores and if they are converted to GMAT scores?
This naturally depends on the school, but I've only gotten a clear answer from Tuck. They do NOT convert GRE scores to GMAT scores according to an admissions officer.
As for HBS, I'm having trouble deciding whether or not to submit my GMAT or GRE since we are made to choose one. When my GRE score is converted, it comes in lower than my GMAT: 610, Confidence interval 560-670 ?!, 34V, 39Q
My GRE percentiles are significantly higher on the quantitative side:
GMAT: 650 77% - 40Q 47%, 38V 85%
GRE: 159Q 74% - 157V 74%
I don't know how the confidence interval is determined, but that's quite a range. Any info on this is greatly appreciated!
