my exam is tomorrow, i did prep Vertias exam= very low score

Can someone advise what to do? my gmat exam is tomorrow and i just did a vertias gmat prep and got 310. What should i do? Should I do the exam or what?

Hi NoofSM,

You posted a couple of weeks ago that your score goal was a 600+. If that's still the case, then this CAT score shows that you're not quite ready to hit your score goal. Since you've waited until the last possible day to ask for advice, there isn't time to make any changes to how you approach the Test. It's also too late to reschedule your appointment, so here's what I suggest - you should go and take your GMAT tomorrow as planned. Since you probably won't hit your score goal, you should concentrate on the 'event' - pay attention to the 'details' of Test Day, so that you'll be better prepared to face the GMAT the next time that you take it.

With a 310, you have a LOT of work to do to score 600+, but we can put together the proper plan after tomorrow.

How are you? I just finished feommmy gmat score. I am abit sad that i did not get the score i wanted however my score increased alot from two days ago i scored around 420 and what should i do to get around 650 and above? What do you recommend?

Hi NoofSM,

Since you've now raised your score goal to 650+, you'll likely have to do some additional work. That having been said, I'd like to know more about how you've been studying:

1) What were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores on this GMAT?
2) How long did you study?
3) What specific materials have you been using?
4) How much time can you spend on your studies in a typical week?

5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Dear Rich,

Hope you doing well?
1)For the latest gmat for the quant i got 21/37 and for verbal i got 27/41 thid totaled to 420.
2)i took a gmat course for five weeks and i studied alittle at home. I started beginning of sept 2015 and ended sunday 04 October 2015. After two days i had the gmat exam.
3)i used two gmat guiding books (petersons and another one i forgot its name) And some tips frm the instructors.
4) i can spend around 2-3 hours a day and in the weekend maybe 4-5hours.
5) i was planning to apply in end of october but now i might apply in december. (But still undecided and do you think i can apply in october and inform the school that i will do the exam in dec 2015)

Hi NoofSM,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) on their studies before they hit their 'peak' scores, so it's likely that you just have not put in enough time and effort yet to hit your goals. Using your Official score as a 'gauge', you'll likely need another 3 months of consistent, guided study to get to a 650+.

You can continue to study with the resources that you have, but I don't think that they will necessarily be enough to help you raise your score 230+ points. You would likely benefit by investing in some new resources (including a longer, more thorough GMAT Course of some type).
