Mobile GMAT prep apps?

Hi all - I took the GMAT 6 years ago and it recently expired so I have to take it again before applying to b-school

It looks like the prep material has changed in all those years. In the past I used Kaplan and Manhattan GMAT prep books. I've also noticed a number of mobile apps like Prep 4 GMAt but don't know how good the content is.

What do you all generally recommend we use now?

There are a variety of resources that you can use when training to face the GMAT. Your personal goals as well as your personality, timeline and budget will impact which resources you choose to use.

Can you go into detail about why you took the GMAT 6 years ago and didn't end up applying to Business School?

I thought I would stay at my finance job but want to change things up. I'm 31 now and want to apply this year.

Regarding the earlier question though, I have downloaded about 10 GMAT apps from various startup companies. I'm not sure how reputable they are but before I dig in was wondering if you or the forum had any suggestions. Do they have professionals on staff creating the questions or is it a bunch of college kids pulling questions together around the web? I want to get a sense of whether I can trust some of the non-brand-name apps in the app store.

What is the forum's general sentiment around these?

As far as content, find out who wrote it. I trust that the experts on this forum all have great content - I'd be wary of content that was not produced by someone who has taught a LARGE number of people.
