Should I submit my GMAT scores on test day?

Hi, I'm not 100% confident that I will receive my ideal score on my first try. Would it at all benefit me to opt out of having my scores sent on exam day, until after I find out how well I did?

As far as I can tell, the only downside is the additional cost of sending the score later. Not sure what the upside is to this strategy. Would schools see my first score no matter what?

If you pretty certain about the schools that you are going to apply to then it makes sense to send the scores when you take the test. The only real downside at delaying is the extra cost. And you are right, schools will see your scores when you apply anyway though they usually only consider the highest score for your application.
