Hi

Could you please help me in deciding which collegesv ( for full time or part time MBA ) I should consider applying to based on below stats. My biggest problem is my lesser known undergrad college , although i have a good GPA. I dont think top 10 would be achievable for me although I can try for 10-20.

1. GMAT : 750
2. GPA : 8.9 /10 from an Indian college , not a top one.
3. 5 years work ex with a top IT services firm with 3 promotions during the career. No specific spectacular achievement.
4. All the above 5 years were associated with the topmost healthcare client in US. So in effective 5 years IT experience with 5 years healthcare experience. Very good recommendation letters from client managers.
6. 3 years of social service ( association with a child welfare program) back in india
7. Wish to move towards technology consulting career post MBA.

Dear nandan,

I would encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection. Selecting a school should be based on identifying which programs will best prepare you for the future career you seek. After you have a potential list, then you can filter out programs that are not a good cultural fit or you feel are out of reach for you. With your profile, you should be competitive for most top 40 programs. As with any other candidate, what will result in an offer of admission is how well you put together your overall application package.

Best of luck,
Lisa
