Yes, you're right- the answer should be E. What is the source?

Definitely the answer should be E (assuming there is no error in the posted question)

w and c are integers. Each could be positive or negative.

Stmt1: w + c > 50. No conclusive information about w being positive. Insufficient.

Stmt2: c > 48. No information about w. Insufficient.

Combining the two statements: c = 49, 50, 51, ... anything > 48.
If c = 49, 50 then w has to be positive. If c = 51, w could be zero. For values of c >= 52, w could be negative as well.

So E is the correct choice.
