How often is the GMAT Test updated?

How often does GMAC make major or minor changes to the GMAT test? I'm planning to take the test in a few months. I am ordering study material now (Manhattan GMAT 6th edition guides) and I want to make sure I not preparing for a test that is about to change.

Hi IneedtheGMAT,

The GMAT hasn't gone through a substantive change in a number of years (not since IR replaced the Issue Essay). As such, most of the materials that you're likely considering (books, Courses, this Forum, etc.) will be fine to study with. There are some older materials that can include some outdated material (the older OGs, for example), but there are plenty of recently produced materials that you can choose from.
