630; 3.5 AW; 8 IR

Here is my GMAT score:

32 Verbal (66%)
45 Quantitative (63%)
630 Total (71%)
3.5 AW (13%)
8 IR (92%)

If feel like these scores are all over the place. I am not retaking the test. What are schools going to think about these scores? AW is horrible and IR is perfect while Verbal and Quantitative are in the "middle."

I just don't know what to think.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! While your analytical writing assessment is low, the other aspects of your test scores are in range at a lot of tier 3 schools. But how competitive you are really depends on some other factors including age, gender, ethnicity, background, etc. It's not as cut and dry as a simple score. If you're dead set on not retaking the GMAT, you should focus all of your energy on the rest of your app going forward. This is your chance to show the admissions committee that you've got what it takes.

B schools mostly look at the overall score as opposed to the break ups. They do look at the AWA also but you can try offsetting that by putting in a solid application which brings out your ideas and profile in the best possible manner.

You can apply to B-schools like Babson, Purdue, Texas A&M, Univ of Maryland, SMU Cox,most of the B-schools rely on the Quant, Verbal and Composite scores considerably more than the AWA score, and presumably they will also rely on the IR score significantly more than the AWA score.So Just focus on building strong essays that is where you can differentiate yourself.
